For the past few years, I have had the pleasure of speaking at the i-UG International i-Power event. It is one of the highlights of the year for me. Great attendees, enthusiastic organisers, great exhibitors, catching up with friends and colleagues and the shortest distance I have to travel to speak at a conference.
But, the 2018 International i-Power event is going to be a special one for me. Twice a year, for the past eleven years, I have been making the long haul across the Atlantic, to help my System i Developer partners, Jon Paris and Susan Gantner, organise and run the RPG & DB2 Summit. This year, Jon and Susan are making the reverse trip across the pond to join us at the 2018 International i-Power event.
Jon and Susan have been my friends, colleagues and mentors for longer then I care to remember. They are the ones who got me writing, got me speaking at conferences and user groups, taught me an incredible amount and inundated me with encouragement and good advise. They are, without a doubt, two of the most knowledgeable people in our industry. For those who cannot make the trip to the Summit, this is a rare opportunity to hear two of the greats share their wisdom.
On Tuesday the 12th of June, Jon, Susan and I will presenting eight of our sessions from the RPG & DB2 Summit -and we are going to present another three on Wednesday the 13th.
My one regret – I am going to miss a couple of Jon and Susan’s sessions because I will be speaking at the same time!
Cool. Maybe we can make this a permanent fixture 🙂
