PowerWire.eu started in 2000 as NEWSWire UK, an email newsletter for British AS/400 users.
Since then, it has undergone a couple of name-changes (iNEWSWire, PowerWire Europe) and widened its focus to include all IBM Power System server technologies whether they be IBM i, AIX or Linux flavoured.
It also widened its audience. While the newsletter (and, now, independent website) will always have its roots in the UK’s midrange scene, today’s subscribers to our monthly PowerWire.eu email update are based throughout Europe and beyond.
Why not join them and subscribe today? And if you have a colleague who you think could do with keeping in touch with all things Power i, Power p or PowerLinux, why not point them in the way of a free subscription too?
The main contributors include Steve Bradshaw, technical director of British IBM i user group i-UG, Glenn Robinson, the newsletter’s popular tech tipster for over a decade, Anthony English, PowerWire‘s resident AIX expert, and Andy Youens, an article writer who specialises in programming on the IBM i with over 33 years experience.
PowerWire.eu is always on the lookout for interesting stories about IBM Power System server technology. Whether you are a system user or a solution vendor, we are always interested to hear about your work. And if you are involved in a Power Systems-related user group anywhere in Europe, please contact us and we will feature your news.
PowerWire.eu was published by Cue Communications until November 2015. It is now published by NC Communications Ltd and is entirely independent of IBM and the views expressed herein are completely our own.
